What is Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) ?

Known as PMP, pseudomyxoma peritonei is a rare cancer that generally starts in the appendix. More rarely, it can start in other parts of the bowel, the ovary or bladder and is thought to affect between one and two people per million per year, of all ages, both men and women.
