What is Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) ?
Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare disease that occurs only in women. LAM predominantly affects the lungs, where it causes excessive growth of smooth muscle cells which progressively destroy lung tissue and erode lung function.
