What's to come for my son.

My son Jameel is a AHC kid. I worry everyday about my childs future. I try to stay strong for my son and to live in the moment. Realistically what is to become of my son when he's a teenager, or when he's a adult.
I'm a single mother of a 4 year old beautiful little boy diagnosed with AHC. After about 2 years of him being misdiagnosed with having partial seizures, April 2010 we finally have a answer. Being that this is such a rare condition the hospital couldn't give me any information on AHC, and I was told to research it on my own.
Since last year I have been reading and looking up any and everything on ACH. My son episodes aren't very bad. Jameel went a year without an episode from April 2010 to April 2011. Then he had two in June. When Jameel has one of these attacks he's not fully paralyzed. He's still able to walk and feed himself and climb on furniture, but it is a little harder for him because he's weakened. The attacks always happens on his left side.
With AHC my son also has a learning disability and a speech delay. His speech is getting better and better as time goes on. Jameel goes to a public school with other children but he do receive Speech,OT and Physical therapies in school. The children at his school really looks out for him and is so sweet to him.
Some of Jameel's strengths are he's a very good problem solver. He loves and is very good with his numbers and letters. He's also very good with his colors.
I worry about my son's future. Will he ever be a fully functional adult and able to care for himself. Will there ever be a cure for him and all the other children suffering for this condition. I pray everyday.

My son is three years old and has been diagnosed with supposed alternating hemiplegia, he has had four episodes, with a loss of strength in his left leg, once at a year and three months of age, the following six months after the first, another one a month later and the last one, a few days ago, more than a year after the former one. My son in the episodes looses strength in his left leg, he falls on the floor when he tries to walk, he gets up and falls again, this for a few minutes and then he limps for a couple of hours. The four episodes where in open air and if he slleeps he gets over it and he is well the next day. My son is three years old but we don't notice up to now that he has any deficiency.
I would like to know what your son's episodes consist of and if they have given him any treatment. Thank-you.
